Just in case Poe's writing failed to etch the haunting images in your memory, Ryan Price's illustration for The Raven certainly will. This is an excellent book for middle school classrooms and a keeper for older readers who treasure the works of Poe. The aged black and white imagery creates an eerie, haunting feel and plunges the reader into the pathos of Poe.
